Rebecca Rose was born on December 8, 1971 at Travis Air Force Base to Clinton and Marilyn Rose. She was raised in Richvale, California. She attended Biggs High School where she played basketball, volleyball, ran track and was in the band. She graduated in 1989 and then attended Trinity Western University in British Columbia. She graduated in 1993 with a degree in Business Administration. After graduating, she moved to Seoul, Korea where she taught English for a year. She moved back to California and worked for Franklin Templeton Investments in Rancho Cordova until 2000. In 2001, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame with a Master of Science in Accountancy. She worked as a Tax Auditor for the California Franchise Tax Board in Chicago until 2012 when she transferred to the Rancho Cordova office to be closer to her family. She worked as an auditor there until she became ill with brain cancer in July of 2015. Rebecca had many interests and hobbies. She was a black belt in Taekwondo; she enjoyed playing her flute, singing, sewing, quilting, and reading, but most of all she loved spending time with her nieces. She attended River City Christian Church in Rancho Cordova where she enjoyed singing in the choir and meeting with her small group. She had a vibrant, cheerful personality and a generous spirit. She entered heavenly peace December 7, 2016, one day before her 45th birthday, at Sutter Roseville Hospital. She is survived by her parents, Clinton and Marilyn Rose, brother Charles Rose, sister Susan Schneider, sister-in-law Lisa Rose, brother-in-law Kelly Schneider, and nieces Heidi and Madeline Rose, and Hannah and Katie Schneider. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Rebecca can be sent to River City Christian Church, the Richvale Evangelical Free Church, or the American Cancer Society. A celebration of life service will be held at River City Christian Church at 10933 Progress Ct. in Rancho Cordova, on January 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
