She was born January 31, 1920 in American Fork, Utah to John Roy and Edna Erva Nerdin Crookston. Beth loved her childhood. She had many wonderful memories spent in her Dad’s barbershop after she got home from school. When the hair had been cut and her homework was completed, they would play cards, checkers and games with numbers. Her favorite times were when he treated her to cheese and crackers or an ice cream dipped in chocolate. She lovingly remembered her mother staying up at night sewing dresses for the girls to wear to church, her mothers delicious homemade bread and her beautiful singing voice as she sang to the children. Beth also enjoyed the fact that her family worked hard together for all that they had. She attend school in both American Fork and Pleasant Grove.
Beth met Clarence Grant Wright in Lindon, Utah and they were married a year later on August 10, 1939 in Hyrum, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on July 9, 1970.
She was an active member of the Utah Daughters of Pioneers and enjoyed oil painting. Beth was an avid genealogist for most of her life, she started her own genealogy at age 17 and continued to help many others in completing their family histories.
She is survived by her son Dallas Grant (Rosemary) Wright, of St. George, eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Grant Wright, son Jack Roy Wright and an infant son.
