Sarah Jane Turner Stevens passed away December 2, 2016 at the age of 90. Sara Jane was born April 24, 1926 to Wesley and Lydia Turner of Thorp. She joined two brothers Frank and John.

She graduated from Ellensburg High School in 1944 and married Floyd Stevens in August 1949. She worked at JC Penney's for 17 years, Faltus Motors and Triangle Auto Supply as a bookkeeper. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and served as President of the Ellensburg Credit Women in 1971.

Sarah Jane enjoyed many years of travel around Washington and the northwest and their annual trip to Illinois to visit Floyd's family.

Survivors include her nieces Linda (Pete) Siller, Becky Turner and Sidney Turner and nephew Wayne (Kris) Turner and numerous cousins including Avadene Gardinier.

She was preceded in death by her mother Lydia Townsend, stepfather Fred Townsend, two brothers Frank and John Turner and husband Floyd.

A graveside service at I.O.O.F Cemetery will be Saturday, December 10, at 11:00am.
