Carol J. Rhymer, 76 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2005 in Parkview Hospital of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She was born on February 20, 1929 in Monroeville, Indiana the daughter of the late Carl W. Knefelkamp and the late Ruth D. (Hill) Knefelkamp.
Carol was a member of American Legion Auxilliary Unit 420 and she was homemaker. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Surviving are her former husband, Richard Rhymer of New Haven, Indiana, son, Richard Eugene Rhymer of Monroeville, Indiana, son, Rick L. (Joyce) Rhymer of Monroeville, Indiana, son, Randy W. Rhymer of Monroeville, Indiana, daughter, Mayann I. Surratt of New Haven, Indiana, daughter, Mrs. Charles (Rosemary J.) Hissong of Fort Wayne, Indiana, sister, Mrs. Ray (Linda) Barrett of Amity, Arkansas, sister, Sharon Schafer of Pleasant Mills, Indiana, sister, Mrs. Charles (Mary Alice) Elzey of Pleasant Mills, Indiana, and sister, Remay Palmer of Monroeville, Indiana.
Carol was preceded in death by one son, Roger D. Rhymer and one brother, Edward Knefelkamp.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2005 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel with Rev. Jenny Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 27 at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Preferred memorial are to Monroeville Fire Department.
