Reverend Charles Parker Bullard, 80, died on Thursday, December 08, 2016 surrounded by family after an extended illness. An entombment in the Mausoleum at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro, will be a private service with family at a separate time. A Memorial Service of Life will be held at First Baptist Church, Asheboro, on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 2:00PM. The family will receive family and friends at the church following the service.

Reverend Bullard was a graduate of Mars Hill College, Wake Forest University, and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. His ministry consisted of a staff assignment as an assistant pastor and church planter at First Baptist Church, Hagerstown, Maryland; founding pastor of Paramount Baptist Church, Hagerstown, Maryland; pastor of Columbus Baptist Church, Columbus, North Carolina; and Hertford Baptist Church, Hertford, North Carolina.

In 1980, Reverend Bullard moved to Asheboro and joined the staff of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina at the Caraway Conference Center and Camp. He retired from full time service at Caraway in August 1997.

Reverend Bullard is survived by his wife, Grace Bullard, of nearly 55 years, three children, and four grandchildren. Children are Charles Michael and his wife Lisa; Robin Loucinda Whatley; and Melissa Dawn and her husband Greer Gray. Grandchildren are Meredith Grace Bullard, Jason Scott Gray, Steven Daniel Gray and Loucinda Noel Whatley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be considered to the First Baptist Church of Asheboro - Mission Fund or Hospice of Randolph County.
