Funeral Service: 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice, NE.

Laura F. Schuette, 88 years of age, of Lecanto, Florida, formerly of Beatrice, NE. passed away in Florida Sunday afternoon, January 1, 2006. She was born on September 6, 1917 at Ellis, Nebraska. She and her husband Ervin J. Schuette owned and operated the former Grant Street Grocery store for many years. She moved to Florida in 1998. She enjoyed reading and watching T.V.

Survivors include her son Rex Schuette and his wife Jane of Lincoln, NE.; daughter Sondra Oltman and her husband Jerry of Lecanto, Florida; 4 grandchildren, Brett Oltman and wife Elizabeth of Panama Beach, Florida, Kea Shields and husband Tracey of Windsor, Colorado, Owen and Amanda Schuette of Lincoln, NE.; 4 great grandchildren; daughter in law Nila Schuette of Lincoln, NE.; brother in law Lester Reed of Overland Park, KS.; and niece Ardith Warner and husband Chuck of Overland Park, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Gladys (Gaisford) Amos; husband Ervin J. Schuette (January 3, 1982); son Rodney Schuette (1992); sister Vera Reed; and grandson Noah Schuette.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice, NE. with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Shelbourn officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice , NE. There will be no public viewing, but a register book will be available for signatures at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice on Monday from 9-5:00. A memorial has been established to the Methodist church in Ellis, NE. with the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in charge. Messages of condolence may be sent to [email protected]. They will be forwarded to the family.
