Nate Clark (aka ‘Superman’), 32, passed away in his car on Saturday, December 3rd, 2016. Don’t worry, he wasn’t driving at the time.

Nate was a hilarious son, brother, uncle, and friend to so many. He loved triple decker nachos, frozen lemon meringue pie, whole pot roast designed to feed a family, and anything he smothered in Sriracha sauce. A football nut at heart, he loved the Spartans, Lions, and his favorite team starring his nieces and nephews he played football with in the backyard. He had many girlfriends over the years that he loved (don’t worry we’ll separate you all at his service), but he was not exactly the committin’ type. In his spare time, Nate loved to spend time at the beach, do impersonations, dance like John Travolta, and take photos of himself in the mirror. Not all at the same time. Some of his favorite memories would have been trips he took with family to Las Vegas and Mexico, a trip he took to see his brother off to the military, a recent trip to visit his aunt in North Carolina, and game nights with his family and close friends. Nate had a love for God with 3 of his favorite bible verses tattooed on his side.

Nate primarily worked in the landscaping field, where he would gladly tell you he could outperform all the young bucks on his crew. He held various other jobs in the food service and construction industries as well.

A celebration of life ceremony (or a party as Nate would have called it) will be held at 2pm on Friday, December 9th, 2016 at Kensington Community Church in Traverse City. All are welcome to attend. BYOB. That’s “bring your own bible” for those that might have thought it meant something else.

Services will be led by his family and Pastor Patrick Holden.

Nate is survived by his mother, Cheryl Anne Hall; his father, Mervin Glen Clark; two brothers, Greg (Jammie) and Chris Hall; his close cousin, Trina (Mike) Girardin; his aunt, Geri (Johnny) McQuigg; his beloved nieces and nephews, Jazmyne, Skyler, Chantel, Blake, Chloe and Caleb; and his paternal grandmother, Katherine Clark.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather, and a dog he spent a lot of time with named Bruce.

Memorial contributions are wonderful, but Nate would have preferred you invested your hard earned dollars in bright white shoes, shirts, and hats.

The family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to the staff of Wolfe-O’Neill Funeral Home and Kensington Community Church for their amazing love and support during this time.
