DODGE CITY,KS.--- Bennie F. Johns,84,died Tuesday, December 6,2016 at her home in Dodge City,KS.
She was born May 1,1932 at Gould, Oklahoma, the daughter of David C. and E.Blanche (Wright) McCubbin. She moved to Dodge City years ago from Enid,Oklahoma. She was a receptionist at the Dodge City Medical Center for many years until retiring May 17,1997.
She attended the Dodge City Church of Christ and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
On November 5,1966 she married Roxie "Rocky" Johns at Guymon, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on August 27,2009.
Survivors include: her son, David Flaherty and wife Marci,Dodge CIty; 2 daughters, Vickie Fellingham and husband Dave, Mannford, Oklahoma and Kayla Speer and husband Kenny, Dodge City; a brother, Frankie McCubbin and wife Karon, Weatherford, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Linda Hill and husband Richard, Guymon Oklahoma and Colleen Petree, Yantis, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Jason Fellingham and wife Tiffany, Casi Lane and husband Jeff, Trista Wasson and Krista Hill and 5 great grandchildren, Preston, Anna and Matthew Fellingham and Riley and Cole Lane, and a host of nephews and nieces.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son Anthony Mark Alexander, a brother Bobby McCubbin, an infant brother, David Lewis McCubbin, a grandson, Taylor Flaherty and a brother-in-law, Bob Petree.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Friday,December 9,2016 at the Dodge City Church of Christ with Gary Bennett officiating.
