He was born in Indianapolis on March 6,1942, the son of Omer and Rose Walker Fletcher Claycamp. He married Sharon Guard on July 2,1966 in Lafayette. She survives.
He is also survived by two sons, Clinton (Heather) Fletcher and Corey Fletcher; four grandchildren and one brother, Philip Fletcher.
One brother preceded in death.
He was a 1960 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. He served in the US Army. He worked at REA Magnet Wire in Lafayette until he retired in 2003. Marvin enjoyed local sport and politics and keeping in touch with family and friends.
