Benjamin married June 1, 1865 to Mrs. Susannah Highsmith Wainwright ,
( a widow of Robert J. Wainwright , he was a son of Joseph Wainwright ) she was a daughter of David Highsmith ..

Benjamin was in the timber business for many years and a farmer near the village of Lulation ..
They are buried in Smyrna Cemetery near her parents ..
