Daniel Steven Tucker, 56, of Loose Creek, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at his residence. He was born April 23, 1960 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a son of Robert S. and Joan (Gottschalk) Tucker.
Dan was a 1978 graduate of Jefferson City High School. In his high school days he was a member of the Jays Concert and Marching Band. He was a natural athlete; he was on the swim team, played baseball, golf, won a Cole County Arm Wrestling Championship and was on bowling leagues.
He worked for Keating Construction, Modine and most recently at Alpla. Dan loved his house on the Maries River, his pets, hanging out with his friends and family, fishing, hunting, watching birds, going to concerts, bowling and playing the lottery. He always told his mom “When I win the lottery, I’m taking you to Rome”. Dan was a kind and gentle man and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Dan is survived by his mother: Joan Tucker of Jefferson City; brothers: Douglas Lee Tucker of Houston, Tx and Jeffrey Robert Tucker (Karen) of St. Louis; nephews: Conner Tucker and Austin Tucker; niece and Goddaughter: Madison Tucker as well as other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert S. Tucker, in 2001.
Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors in Jefferson City. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, with Rev. John Forsythe officiating.
