Musician, Composer. A native of Argentina, García was the Buenos Aires Orchestra conductor from 1980 to his death. From 1932 to 1938, he joined the prestigious Roberto Firpo orchestra. He then become one of the most renowned pianists of his time, particularly of the tango compositions. His many works include "Racconto," "Ayúdame Buenos Aires," "Mi Estrella Azul" and "Al Maestro con Nostalgia." In 2000, he was awarded the Batuta de Oro for lifetime achievement. He died in his hometown.
