Obituary - Sea Cliff, May 17 (1948) - Pfc. James F. Brengel Jr., who was killed in action in France on October 22, 1944, will be buried tomorrow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Brookville, beside his father, Sgt. James F. Brengel Sr., who lost his life on November 8, 1918, when serving in the Signal Corps in World War I. Private Brengel was 26 at the time of his death. His mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Brengel, of Downing Ave., Sea Cliff, is the only survivor. Special rites will be conducted for him tonight at the Kramer Funeral Home, in Glen Cove by the James F. Brengel Post, American Legion, named for the father, and by the Sea Cliff Fire Department, of which the son was a member. Religious services will be conducted there tomorrow.
