Russell S. Hoffman Jr., 43, Moline, passed away on Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at Kindred Specialty Hospital, Sycamore, Ill.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 9 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family.
Russell was born on March 1, 1973, in Moline, the son of Russell H. and Pauline Bowling Hoffman. He graduated from Moline High School, where he excelled in sports. He worked in maintenance locally. Russ liked classic cars and loved his dog, Sebastian.
Survivors include his son, Russell A. Hoffman, Coal Valley; father, Russell H. Hoffman Sr.; brothers, Paul (Tracy) Hoffman and Clint (Theresa) Hoffman, both of Moline; and nieces, Ashley and Haley.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
