Funeral services for Robert Edgar Girard, Sr., 81, Ogdensburg at Notre Dame Church with Father Justin Thomas officiating. Interment in Foxwood Memorial Park. Arrangements with Frary Funeral Home. Mr. Girard died on Dec 6, 2016 at Riverledge Nursing Home in Ogdensburg. Robert is survived by his wife, Dolores; his children, Robert Girard and Cathy of Ogdensburg; Paul Girard and companion Debbie Fields, of Ogdensburg; Julie Skipka and husband, Curt of Lisbon; Tammy LaPointe-Potter and husband, Colin of Indianapolis, IN and Scott Girard and wife Amy, Norwood; two brothers, John "Jack" Girard and Larry Girard; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. Robert was born on Jun 20, 1935 in Ogdensburg, son of John and Gilbertha Fortin Girard. He attended OFA. Robert married Dolores Margaret Lashomb on Sep 21, 1953. He first worked for Johns Mannsville and later for E.D. Briggs, A.J. Misserts, Michael Techman and Schuler's Snacks. Robert retired as a distributor of Bachman Snacks and was owner and operator of Girard's Wholesale Foods.
