Donna L. West, age 70 years, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016. She was born on December 14, 1945, in Gainesville, Georgia, the daughter of Virgil and Harriett (Wills) West.
Donna received her Bachelor of Science degree, Masters degree and her Administration degree, all from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska. She also received a Gifted and Counseling degree from Johns Hopkins.
Donna was a school teacher for over 40 years. She taught at Birchcrest in Bellevue, Nebraska, and Rousseau, Morley, Dawes and Culler, all in Lincoln.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Phi Delta Kappa, Arbor Day Foundation, Alumni of UNL and Johns Hopkins, and a member of LEA, NEA and NSEA.
Donna is survived by: her brother, Virgil A. "Nick" West and his wife Terry; her sister, Robin West and her husband Ken Wald; nieces and nephew, Nicole Lurie, Matt West, Dara West-Wald and Jaina West-Wald; uncle, Bob West; and aunt Lou Stallard.
