Mrs. Mary Presson Belk, 76, died at her home in Mecklenburg county yesterday morning after a brief illness. Services will be conducted at the Tipton funeral home this afternoon at 3 o'clock with the Rev. W. W. Jones, pastor of Allen Street Baptist church in charge. Burial will be in the Elmwood cemetery. Mrs. Belk's grandsons will be pallbearers. Mrs. Belk is survived by the following sons and daughters; A. V. Presson of Kannapolis, Mrs. Brenda Alexander of Monroe, J. S. Presson, Mrs. W. H. Conner, Mrs. M. E. Pierce, Mrs. N. W. Bennick, H. G. Belk and J. L. Belk, all of the city.
