Born Jan. 31, 1948, in Wyatt, to the late Walter James and Alberta Elizabeth Mayville Myers, she had been employed as a night manager for McDonald’s Food Mart and attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Bertrand.
Survivors include: three sons, Joey Manning of East Prairie, James (Pam) Manning of Ray City, Ga., and Derek (Robin) Manning of Sikeston; two daughters, Remona Rapert of East Prairie and Marla Manning of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and two sisters, Dorothy Woods and Mary Ellis, both of East Prairie. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Casey, Paige, Colton, Braeden and Ashland; and two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Sophie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Myers, Jimmy Myers and Joe Myers; and three sisters, Ollie Atkisson, Louise Mayville and Delores Myers.
Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, with Jennifer Brashear, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.
