Mrs. Emma L. Kelley, 89, of Center Street, Mt. Jewett [McKean Co.] died at her home early Sunday morning [February 29].
She was born Feb. 19, 1887 at Sigel, the daughter of Andrew and Mary Beers Alford. On July 3, 1907 at Jamestown, N.Y., she married George Kelley, who died on March 6, 1960.
She was a member of the Mt. Jewett United Methodist Church and the Mineola Rebekah Lodge 413.
Mrs. Kelley is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Florence) Humez of Prospect Park, Pa., Mrs. Quentin (Marguarete) Brown of Roseburg, Ore., and Mrs. Albert (Minnie ) Ferry of Ridley Park, Pa.; two sons, G. Earl Kelley of Mt. Jewett and Wallace A. Kelley of Houston, Tex.; 28 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Lena Carruthers of Spencerport, N.Y.
Friends will be received at the Henry Howard Funeral Home in Mt. Jewett today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Reynolds, pastor of the Mt. Jewett United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.…
