Paul T. "Bud" Krug, 87 died Saturday, January 6, 2007,at The Tillers in Oswego, IL. He was born May 27, 1919 at his family's home in Yorkville, IL, the son of the late Theodore and Clara (Dhuse) Krug. Mr. Krug farmed for John Stewart on Church Road in Plattville, IL and then drove a fuel tanker for Grainco F.S. He was very proud of the fact that he drove the fuel tanker free of accidents, petroleum spillage and tickets for 37 years. Paul served his country honorably in the US Army from 1942 to 1945 (World War II) within the 7th Armored Division Infantry in Germany where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge.

Paul was a faithful member of Cross Lutheran Church for his entire life serving as an usher, passing communion and helping with weddings and funerals. He was also a member of the Montgomery Memorial VFW Post.

He is survived by his niece and her husband, Karen A. (William) Heise of Oswego, IL; his nephews, Duane (Pam) Krug of Plano, IL and Pastor Ronald (Barbara) Krug of Hartland, WI; also by several great nieces and nephews, Debra (Frederick) Besco of Oswego, IL, Diane (John) Andermann II of Oswego, IL, Robert Krug of Plano, IL, David Krug of Plano, IL, Carolyn (David) Claas of Milwaukee, WI and Alan (Lisa) Krug of Brookfield, WI; two great-great nieces, Lauren Besco of Oswego, IL and Alyssa Krug of Brookfield, WI; and a great-great nephew, Nathanel Krug of Brookfield, WI.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Helen (O'Connor) Krug in December of 1999; and by three brothers, Roy H. (Ollye) Krug, Robert (Alice) Krug and Elmer (Henrietta) Krug.

Visitation will be Monday, January 8, 2007 from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Cross Lutheran Church, 8609 Rt. 47, Yorkville, IL. Pastor Brian Truog will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Cross Lutheran Cemetery Yorkville, IL.

Memorials in Mr. Krug's memory may be directed to the Cross Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
