BOONEVILLE - Robert Myrl Walden, 77, died Monday at Baptist Hospital in Booneville. He was a retired salesman for Conwood Corp. in Memphis and a WW II veteran. He was a member of the Booneville Masonic Lodge No. 305, the York Rites, the Hamassa Shrine and the First Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday School for 40 years. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Camp and the Rev. E.S. Furr officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Catherine Price Walden of Booneville; one daughter, Frances Savage of Brandon; three sons, Robert Myrl Walden Jr. of Savannah, Tenn., John E. Walden of Senatobia and Richard Walden of Birmingham, Ala.; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Clint Walden, Matthe4 Walden, Bobby Walden, John David Price, Ben Taylor Smith and Jay Savage. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Methodist Church in Booneville.
