David Lee Gilbert, 67, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at his home surrounded by family after his two-year battle with cancer. David is preceded in death by his father, Junior Gilbert, and daughter, Amy Lee.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lois; two sons, Tim (Melissa) Gilbert, Bill (Amber) Gilbert; daughter, Kathy Ferreira, along with five grandchildren; his mother, Janet Pankake, his triplet brothers, Danny (Sarah), Dennis (Deborah); sister, Robin (Lew) Luftig, along with nieces and nephews.
David was the middle of three triplet boys who attended Blue Creek School where they graduated in 1967. They each trusted Christ as Savior during their senior year in high school. They each graduated from Bible college and seminary. They each went on to enter full time gospel ministry and they each retired in July, September and December 2015 from full-time ministry. David was a great son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, minister and good friend. He will truly be missed by those who knew him.
