On December 31, 1990 in Chicago, Illinois, a beautiful child, Renata Renee Annie Mae, was born to Dranue and the late Archie Matlock, Jr. She was the youngest of four children.

She attended Jesus Christ Holy Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Archie Matlock, Sr., where she confessed her faith at an early age. She graduated with honors from high school and completed Nursing and Radiology school with a smile. In high school, she met the love of her life, Matthew Wezowicz, Together they have a beautiful baby girl, Karma Wezowicz. They attended Open Arms Church in Beebe. Renata lived a beautiful life and was a good hearted person who would help everyone.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband Matthew and beautiful daughter Karma Wezowicz; loving mother Dranue Thomas Ballard; dear grandparents Evg. Annie Mae and Rev. Dr. Archie Matlock, Sr.; sisters Nikisha Williams, Lizzie Thomas, Destini Hampton, Dishanti Hampton; brothers Trinity Matlock, Devion and Denzil Ballard, Rev. Archie Matlock (Tamara); aunts Andreia Branch (Darrion), Evg.
