Christian Fredrick Kaiser was born December 29, 1824 at Dolitz, Pyritz, Pommern, Prussia. He was the son of Johann Gottlieb Keyser (1787 - 1855) and Christina Zabel (1802). He married Anna Maria Brunkow on August 23, 1849 at Dolitz, Pyritz, Pommern, Prussia. She was born January 31, 1829 at Dolitz, Pyritz, Pommern, Prussia to Jacob Brunkow and Anna Matzke.
The family emigrated from Germany in 1868. They first settled in Dane County, Wisconsin, but were living in Spink County, S.D. by 1894.
Fredrick and Maria were the parents of nine children; Michael Friedrich (1849), Charles or Karl (1851), Dorothea (1854), Ernestine Wilhelmine (1857), August Ferdinand (1859), Augusta Mary (1862) and Christian Friedrich (1865) were born in Prussia. Henry Fredrick (1870) and William Fred (1871) were born at Waterloo, Jefferson County, Wisconsin. Michael and Christian died in infancy in Prussia prior to the family coming to American. Three of the sons, Henry, William and Ferdinand, were farming in Tetonka Township, Spink County in 1900.
Fredrick Kaiser died in Mellette, Spink County on March 25, 1894. Maria died March 9, 1898 in Mellette, Spink County. Both are buried in the Clifton Township Cemetery, Spink County, South Dakota.
