She married Vernon George Hausler February 1, 1962 in San Antonio. She was a graduate of Southwest Texas State and taught elementary school for the Gonzales Independent School District for almost 30 years.
She was a member of the Monthalia Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and Sodoku. She also liked card games especially solitaire.
She was survived by her husband of 54 years Vernon George Hausler of Gonzales, a daughter, three sons, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and sisters Barbara and Nancy, both of California. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services December 6, 2016 at the Monthalia Methodist Church. Interment in the Monthalia Methodist Cemetery.
