Thomas married Emma Luella Abegglen on June 19, 1897 in Heber City, Utah. They became the parents of five children: Orson Bernell, Thomas W, Glade, Luella, and Reese M.
Thomas worked as a mechanic. The family lived at first in Midway and Park City, then Spanish Fork, Utah. By 1910 they were in McGill, Nevada, not far from Ely. They are there on the 1910, 1920, and 1930 Censuses. Emma died there in 1932.
Thomas had been in Heber City only four days when he died there.
