Verna Laird Naylor Coon Cleverly, 91 of Bountiful, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 at her home.
She was born September 14, 1925 in Nampa, Idaho, the daughter of Frank Sefton and Rhoda Lois Laird Naylor. She was the seventh child.
She married Max J. Coon on September 1, 1943 in Salt Lake City. They had four children. He preceded her in death on June 5, 1959. She later married Donald Booth Cleverly on May 11, 1961 and they had two children.
She is survived by her husband, Donald, Bountiful; children, Max (Patricia) Coon, Grantsville; Barbara (Ken) Veylupek, Bountiful; Debby (Mark) Rose, American Falls, Idaho; Frank (Teri) Coon, Taylorsville; Christen (Aaron) Bennett, Tremonton; and Scott (Susan) Cleverly, of Cincinnati, Ohio; twenty-six grandchildren, fifty great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Ruth Abbott and Lois McFarland; brothers, Frank Jr., Edward, Marvin, and Garth Naylor; and granddaughter, Michelle.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Orchard Second Ward Chapel, 3707 South 800 West, Bountiful, with a viewing prior to the services from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m.
Interment will be in the Valley View Memorial Park, West Valley City.
