Helen W. Pate, age 82, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016. She was a member of the Haw Grove Missionary Baptist Church, the Eastern Star (Blountsville Group) and Women's Health at UAB American Legion.

Mrs Pate is preceded in death by her husband, Ebbin G. Pate; father, Hoyt Brooks; brother, Tommy Brooks; sister, Laverne McGinnis; sons in law, Sam Mayfield and Elmer Clonts; and mother & step-father, John B. Hogland "Red" and Beulah Dingler Hogland.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pate will be Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the Haw Grove Missionary Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with burial following at Mt. Joy Cemetery.
