Pamela Carol Grant, 66, of New Whiteland, passed away December 4, 2016. The daughter of William H. and Naomi L. (Wire) George, Pamela was born March 26, 1950 in Indianapolis.

Pamela retired in 2011 after 15 years of service as an Administrative Assistant with the Indiana Department of Transportation. She had also served as a school nurse for the Greenwood schools system and earned her EMT designation through Johnson County. Pamela was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed sewing and crafting, baking and shopping. Pamela had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off her back.

Pamela is survived by her husband, Stephen G. Grant of New Whiteland, whom she married on June 20 1970 in Greenwood; sons, Daniel J. Grant of New Whiteland and Dr. Matthew G. Grant of Indianapolis; daughters, Kimberly G. Burkhead of Greenwood, Rebecca J. (Jim) Sickles of Danville and Sara A. Grant of Greenwood; sisters, Brenda M. Dausch and Nancy J. (William) Bowen, both of Greenwood and Patty A. (Rick) Newman of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy K. Nave.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. December 10, 2016 at the funeral home. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. December 9, 2016, and one hour prior to services at Forest Lawn Funeral Home – 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
