James G. Robinette, 73, of Ossineke passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at MidMichigan Medical Center – Alpena.

James was born on October 6, 1943 to the late Alfred and Elsie (Tessmer) Robinette and married Sherrie L. Valley on July 29, 1970. Jim served in the National Guard and worked for the Fletcher Paper Company for 38 years. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Ossineke Eagles, where he served as trustee and was a charter member of Alpena Moose Lodge.

Surviving are his wife Sherrie; 3 children, Devin (Danielle Hart) Robinette, Jodi (Doug Hale) Chadwick, Dr. Staci (Josh) Blackburn; 8 grandchildren, Grace, Saige, Kale, Desiree, Justin, Sydnie, Olivia, Colton; 2 sisters-in-law, Sue Robinette, Charlene Robinette; several nieces and nephews;

Mr. Robinette was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette (John) Burnash; 2 brothers, Richard Robinette, and Jack Robinette.

Mr. Robinette is at the Bannan Funeral Home where visitation will take place on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday at Hope Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Randall M. Conley officiating.
