Virginia "Ginny" Brown, 91, of Pittsburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at the Coos County Nursing Hospital in West Stewartstown.

She was born on July 9, 1930, a daughter to the late Clifton and Evelyn (Day) Clogston, Sr.

Ginny was born and raised, and lived most of her life, in the close-knit community of Pittsburg. She was happiest being at home taking care of her husband and children, but she also enjoyed boating and snowmobil-ing, playing country music on her organ, singing, dancing, and mostly just spending time visiting with friends and family. It seemed only natural that after she graduated from Houle's Beauty Academy in 1971, Alfred built her a little shop in their home where she could do hair. For many years, Ginny made her customers look and feel their best. Her kind heart and caring nature made everyone feel special, and her witty sense of humor kept them all laughing. Heaven gained a beautiful honky-tonk angel.

She was lovingly known as "Me-Ma" to her only granddaughter, Amy (Calo) Beckman, and her husband, Hayden Beckman Jr., of Merrimack, N.H., and "Aunt Gin" to many nieces and nephews. Virginia also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Linda Clogston of Pittsburg.

Virginia is predeceased by her husband, Alfred Brown, and her three children: sons, Danny and Kelly, and daughter, Carol Calo. She is predeceased by her brothers, Keith, Clifton Jr., and Edmund, and her sister, Daphyne French.
