Spartanburg, SC- Danny Ray Hughes, 66, husband of Ava Jennings Hughes, died Monday, December 5, 2016.
Born August 2, 1950 in Spartanburg, SC, Danny was a son of the late John T. and Curtis Sumner Hughes. He received his Masters of Education from USC and was a lifelong member of Roebuck Presbyterian Church where he served as a past Deacon, Elder, Sunday School teacher, and Choir member.
In addition to his beloved wife, Danny is survived by his son, Matthew Hughes (Shelly) of Moore, SC; his brothers, Larry Hughes (Libby) of Pauline, SC and Ronnie Hughes (Becky) of Cowpens, SC; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 7th, 3PM in Roebuck Presbyterian Church Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Dr. Richard Winston.
The family will receive friends following the service.
