PARKER CITY - Peggy June Phipps, 85, of Parker City, IN passed away Monday morning, December 5, 2016 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital of Muncie, IN.

She was born May 10, 1931 in Manchester, TN the daughter of Benjamin "Ben" and Mattie (Floyd) McCullough.

Peggy had worked for Georgia Pacific and also as a waitress with Gray's Motel and Franks Barbeque. She was a member of the Avondale Sympathy Club.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Linda J Steele and Bonnie King (husband, Morris) of Parker City, IN; two sons, Charles Phipps (wife, Mona) of Parker City, IN and Albert Phipps (wife, Ola) of Parker City, IN; a sister, Bobbi Sexton of Muncie, IN; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; a husband, Alton Phipps; and fourteen siblings.

A service to celebrate Peggy's life will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery of Muncie, IN.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 11:00 a.m. to service time, Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the funeral home.
