Genevieve, 98, St. Henry, died at the Gardens at St. Henry.

She was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Kaup) Dues. On May 25, 1940, she married Gregor B. Schmitz, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are five daughters: Elaine (Kenneth) Reichert, St. Henry, Carol (Linus) Hartings and Nancy Kanney, both Coldwater, and Judy (James) Albers and Joyce (Dennis) Borgert, both Wapakoneta; a son-in-law, Carl Baltes, St. Henry; six sisters: Wilma Naber, Helen Homan, Maria Dues, Jeanette (Howard) Osterholt, Marilyn (Willard) Froelich and Mary Ann (Don) Post; four sisters-in-law: Joan Dues, Barb Dues, Margaret Dues and Helen Schmitz; and twenty-three grandchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

Deceased are a daughter and six brothers, all linked below; four brothers-in-law: Vernon Naber, Leroy Huelsman, Bill Billerman and Tom Homan; and a great-grandchild.

A homemaker, she was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, the Rosary Altar Sodality, past Regent of the Daughters of Isabella and a 1936 graduate of St. Henry High School.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Henry Catholic Church.
