She was a member of Midway United Missionary Baptist Church and Brownsville Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors:
One son: Tim Thompson; one daughter: Jeanne Houchins (Mike); one sister: Helen Gish; seven grandchildren: Lois Ann Houchin (Dion), Crissy Clark, Michelle Decker (Chris), Patrick Clark (Kristin), Jennifer Skees (James), Katleyn Thompson and Jay Thompson (Sara); nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.

Predeceased by:
Her parents; one son: James E. “Jamie” Thompson, Jr.; one daughter: Donna Clark; and one sister: Elsie Kinkade.
