Mickey Lee McGuire of Miami, OK, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at his home. He was 85.
Mickey was born July 24, 1931 in Picher, OK to Edgar and Juanita (Martin) McGuire. He was a lifetime Picher resident before moving to Miami in 2007. Mickey was a 1949 Picher High School graduate. He worked in the area all his life and was a musician, songwriter, artist and poet for many years.
Survivors include his daughter, Debbie Powers of Tulsa, OK, his sister, Wanda Etheridge of Miami, OK, 3 grandchildren, Amy Powers Wright, Trenton Powers and Justin Powers, 1 great-grandson, Damon Powers, and his nephew and nieces, Jimmie Etheridge, Susan Karnes, Janis Mills, Kathy King and Connie Morgan.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK with Rev. Geoff Buffalo officiating. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
