She was born on September 18, 1926 in Chelmsford, Essex England to Jesse and Ethel Monk. She was the eldest of 3 children.
Thelma was married in England on March 30, 1945 in the Church of Great Waltham. When her husband was discharged from the Army after the war, she traveled with her infant daughter on a ship to join her husband (George G. Wright Jr.) in the United States.
She was a stay-at-home Mother until her five children were raised and then started her second career in Office Supply retail until retirement.
Thelma lived in Eddystone, PA, Wilmington, DE, Aston, PA, and Chichester, PA.
Throughout her life she enjoyed many hobbies including being an avid reader and knitting, however her biggest passion was for ballroom dancing, which she did extremely well.
Thelma was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Boothwyn, PA.
She is survived by her children Patricia Bibs (Thomas), Faye Hornibrook (Robert), Gilbert Wright (Debbi), and her sister Pauline Hills (Barry). Grandchildren Brian Bibs (Rosa), Christine Tucker (Warren), Gail Bibs-Saloricman (Joseph), Robert Hornibrook (Melanie), Chelsea Delano (Michael), and Lindsey Strapec (Jason). Great-grandchildren Ian Tucker, Mitchell Villarreal, Cayce Tucker, Victoria Rodriguez, Alexander Bibs, Joseph Bibs, and Michael Delano.
Predeceased by her husband Joseph Kelly, her daughter Gail Wright, her son George G. Wright III, and her brother Eric Monk.
A private memorial service will be held at Lawn Croft Cemetery for immediate family only.
