age 86, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday Dec. 2, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was born in Fredericksburg, Ohio on August 4, 1930, to the late Albert F. and Mary (Miller) Miller. He married Gertrude Yoder, daughter of Levi S. and Lizzie Yoder, on Sept. 17, 1950. He was a dairy farmer and auctioneer. A member of Cornerstone Mennonite Church, he was very active with many mission trips at home and over seas, a director of Mennonite Disaster Service for seven years, and active with the Gideons. He loved hunting and fishing.
Survived by his wife of 66 years, Gertrude; son, Lawrence and Sue (Crookston) Miller of Dover, Fla. daughter, Loretta (Miller) and Paul Coblentz of Millersburg, Ohio, daughter, Mary Jeanette (Miller) and Lloyd King of Hartville, Ohio; son, Roderick and Janet (Ross) Miller of Sarasota, Fla.; grandchildren: Daniel (Cindy), Thomas (Teresa) Miller, Debbie (Rick) Hook, Kenneth (Andrea), Steven (Viktoriya), and Preston (Bonnie) Coblentz, Kevin (Brittany) King, Jessica (Sheldon) Stauffer, Adam and Haley Miller; great-grandchildren: Kendra and Kandi Glover, David Roesly, Elena Haro, Harper Hook, Rachel, Luke, Jude and Samuel Coblentz, Bliss and Zane Coblentz, Travis, Aaron, Justin and Reagan King, Alaina and Rylan Stauffer. Preceded in death by son, Richard Lee Miller; twin grandchildren, Matthew L. and Michael L. Miller; siblings: Cora (Jonas) Hershberger, Joseph (Amanda) Miller, Anna (Manasses) Hershberger and Samuel Miller.
Calling hours are Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday 10:30 a.m. at the church, with Pastor Stan Grizzle and William Mullett officiating. Final resting place is Pleasant View AM Cemetery.
