Sharon Louise Byrd, age 75 of Carlisle, Ohio passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Arlington Pointe. Sharon was born in Middletown, Ohio on April 19, 1941 to the late Robert Stiles and Ora Lee McLain.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Stiles. Sharon was a successful real estate broker for 42 years. She was first elected to Carlisle council in 1982 and selected by her peers to serve as vice mayor. The following term she was elected Mayor of Carlisle. She has served on the Warren County Regional Planning Commission and the Carlisle Planning and Zoning Board. She served on the Carlisle Community Improvement Corp. and was Carlisle's representative to the Joint Emergency Medical Service. A charter member of the Carlisle Historical Society, she helped found the Franklin Area Chapter of the American Business Woman's Association.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Sherley Dean Byrd; daughter, Sherri (Richard) Profitt; son, William (Flor) Byrd; three grandchildren, Tyler Profitt, Taylor Profitt, and Ian Byrd.
