Todd Clements, of West Salem passed away Thursday, Dec.1, 2016, in St. Mary's Hospital, Mayo Clinic Health System in Rochester, Minn.

He was born April 9, 1965, in La Crosse to Francis and Elaine (Schmidt) Clements. Todd attended school in West Salem.

He worked on farms, at Webster's Lumber Company, and at Trane Company.

Todd married Sandra Johnson. They had 2 children, Chelsea and Cody, and later divorced. Todd married Linda Miller and also divorced.

He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, and woodworking. He was also a mechanic and he could fix anything. Todd had a garden and loved hot peppers. He was a very good cook making bar-b-q and smoked ribs.

In the summer of 2011, Todd’s life changed. His lungs had a disease, Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. Todd was on the transplant list for only 45 days when he received the gift from a special donor, a double lung transplant on October 26, 2011. After a three month stay at the Gift of Life House in Rochester, he was able to resume life, and he did. Todd had five extra years with his family and did the things he loved.

He worked part time for the Town of Hamilton meeting people which he enjoyed.

In the middle of September, Todd's Lungs were showing signs of stress and couldn't recover.

Todd is survived by his parents; his daughter, Chelsea (fiancé, Travis); his son, Cody; two step-children, Jennifer Ahlert and Justin Miller; two step-grandchildren, Bailey and Connor Ahlert; two brothers, Kevin and Mike; two sisters, Lori (Dale) Sennes and Julie (Gordie) Dedrickson and their children, Jenny, Ryan, and Don; his grandmother, Alvina Schmidt; also his little buddy, Harley.

A celebration of Todd's life will be Sunday, December 11, 2016, at Jandt -Fredrickson Funeral Home, Jostad Chapel, 121 N. Youlon St., West Salem. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 5:30, then a time for sharing and a short prayer.
Memorials are preferred.

We would like to thank everyone that helped Todd; from Mayo Clinic, St. Mary’s Hospital and The Gift of Life House in Rochester, all who worked and donated for his benefit in 2011, Mark P., and the SFB's, the Town of Hamilton, all his close friends and especially the donor family. Todd was one of a kind and will be dearly missed.
