Roger W. Maynard Jr.

ALLEGANY - Roger W. Maynard Jr., of 3617 Five Mile Road, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday (Nov. 29, 2016), shortly after arrival at Olean General Hospital.
Born on Oct. 31, 1962, in Olean, he was a son of Roger W. and Izora Clark Maynard Sr.
Roger was a loving brother and uncle to his family and enjoyed playing sports with them as well as dancing. He had been employed at SubCon Industries for several years.
Surviving are nine brothers and sisters, John Maynard and Izora Maynard, both of Olean, Joyce Maynard of Jamestown, Esther (Paul) Desnoyers of Allegany, Carol (Randy) Curtis of Duke Center, Pa., Mary (Donald) Haddock of Grifton, N.C., Thomas (Celeste) Scott of Southern Pines, N.C., Patricia (Gary) Baldwin of Olean and Dawn (Robert) Best of Cuba; many nieces and nephews; and a close friend, Gabby Mataya of Olean.
He was predeceased by his parents; his stepmother, Louise Scott Maynard; and a brother, Frederick Maynard.
Burial will be in Mount View Cemetery, Olean.
