George Paul Bernal II, passed away unexpectedly on January 5, 2007 in Corpus Christi, Texas surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on September 7, 1974 to Mr. and Mrs. George and Dora Bernal and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He married his loving wife, Jessica Bernal of 5 years on September 7, 2002.

George was a loving son, husband, brother, and a loyal friend. He didn't know a stranger.

George was employed by Driscoll Children's Hospital as a respiratory therapist and Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital as a clinical specialist. He was also employed by Winward Properties, ERA as a Real Estate Agent.

George enjoyed participation in any function that included his family and friends. He enjoyed watching the Ultimate Fighting Championships and playing poker.

He will always be remembered for his contagious laughter, his unending devotion to his family and friends, his sense of adventure, and carefree nature. George lived every day as if it was his last.

George was preceded in death by his grandparents, Estanislado R. Villarreal and Mary L. Villarreal.

George Paul Bernal II is survived by his loving wife, Jessica Bernal and their unborn child; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George and Dora Bernal; his sisters, Veronica B. Lopez and Jackie B. Gamez; his brother, Hector Bernal (Gloria); his nieces and nephews, Gabby and Jenny Lopez, Lauren Wilman, Leila Gamez, Christopher Bernal and Damien Martinez.

Visitation and rosary were held Jan. 7 at Reid Chapel in Seaside Memorial Park. Funeral Mass was held Jan. 8 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment followed at Seaside Memorial Park Cemetery.
