Catherine's parents were Johann Heinrich Foerter/Fetter & Mary Margaret Tischer. Catherine and Joseph Bowman married Nov. 8, 1870.
Mrs. Catherine Anna Bowman passed away on Sat. Dec. 29, 1928 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Cutting, Waterloo. The deceased was in her 84th year, and had been a resident of Hespeler for about 15 years, from Galt. Her husband was the late Joseph Bowman (1915). Mrs. Bowman was formerly Miss Catherine Anna Fetter and was born in Germany. She is survived by seven daughters, Mrs J. Wheeler of Toronto, Mrs. Hugh Johnson of Brantford Mrs. Harry Leach of Oshawa, Mrs. Harry Black of Guelph, Mrs. Gordon MacDonald of Windsor, Mrs. Ed Cutting of Waterloo and Mrs. W. Black of Hespeler; three sons John Bowman of London, and William and Albert Bowman of Hespeler; 58 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.The funeral was held this afternoon from the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. Black to the Hespeler Cemetery.
