For the past six or seven years, she had been a great sufferer, seemingly at no time in good health. Though possessed of an indomitable will which assisted and kept her about her labors, and assisted and kept her up, when others of greater physical strength, subject to her ills and pains, would have succumbed months, or even years ago. Mrs. Flory was born in Hampshire county, Virginia, where she was married in 1850, to Mr. John Flory. In 1854, they moved to Dayton, Ohio. In 1864 they moved to Jasper county, Indiana, and in 1866, moved to and settled in North Henderson township, Ill., in 1874, settled in its village, and opened up a restaurant. She leaves a husband and two children, one deceased, Frederick A., having died September 27, 1859; E. T. Flory, son, living in Winterset, Iowa; Mary E., only daughter, living near Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. The funeral was on Monday, the 20th inst., services at the M. E. church, conducted by Rev. J. E. Williams, from St. John 14:19-32, to a large and sympathizing congregation.
