Mrs. Sara Bratcher Andrews, age 72, of Lavonia, died Friday, December 2, 2016 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens.
Born September 12, 1944, in Hart County, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Julia Mae (Sullivan) Bratcher. She was a homemaker, co-owner of Tugaloo Sport Vans, and retired from AutoZone. Mrs. Andrews was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and the Cleo Andrews Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Tyler Andrews; son: Randy Andrews; brothers: Charles Bratcher, Tom “Junior” Bratcher, and Bobby Bratcher; and sisters: Edna Davis, Louise Hicks, and Betty Allen.
She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law: Rodney & Renee Andrews of Lavonia; sister: Margie Holland of Lavonia; grandchildren: Blake & Laura Andrews, Braden & Chuck Holland, and Haley Andrews all of Lavonia; and great-grandsons: Tucker Andrews and Cahlil Holland.
The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2016 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Lavonia with Rev. John Forbes and Chuck Holland officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North.
At other hours the family will be at the home of Rodney & Renee Andrews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to Please Grove Baptist Church, 250 Pleasant Grove Road, Lavonia, GA 30553.
