Mary Ann was born Feb. 9, 1820 in Pennsylvania. She was the wife of Abraham Grafius.

An attempt was made to abduct a child aged 14 years, from Mrs. Abram Grafius week before last. It was one of the little girls taken from the Home in Philadelphia, by the lady above mentioned. She left home on the 6th inst., and was not found until the 10th, when Dr. Watson and Mr. Geo. Sanderson traced her to Geo. Fishers house, who, by the aid of Chief Westbrook, recovered her after some trouble with Fisher. Fisher was subsequently arrested and placed under bail for Court. The child was persuaded to leave by a nurse who had obtained a situation at Mrs. Grafius.
After Abraham's death:
1880 Lock Haven, Clinton, PA, Mary A Grafius 60, widowed, daughter Laura C Sanderson 27, married, William C Sanderson 7.
Mary Ann died on Oct. 13, 1881 and was buried in the Highland Cemetery.
