She was the daughter of Valentine and Katherine Schoefler Novak and attended Clinton schools.
On August 27, 1927, she was married to Milo W. Brown in Ilion.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Bernard M. Brown of Portsmouth, Virginia; three grandchildren, Mrs. Donald(Susan) Comer, Miss Teresa Brown and Michael Brown, all of Portsmouth; two sisters, Mrs. James (Mary) Vangura of Clinton, Mrs. Josephine Sharlette of Lake Placid; one brother, Joseph Novak of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; one nephew; several grand-nieces, grandnephews and cousins.
