George Douglas Graves Jr, 93, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016 in Amarillo, Texas.
A graveside service will be Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 2:00p.m. at Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery, under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South.
Doug was born in Waco, Texas on March 13, 1923 to George Sr. and Beulah Graves.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 60 years, Melba L. Graves; and his sister, Joyce Graves McAlpine.
He was an infantryman in the Army during World War II.
Surviving family include sister, Nancy Gay Graves Myatt; niece Becky Johnson and husband Danny; nephew, Dug McAlpine and wife Cherie; niece, Melinda Mullins; nephew, Murray Myatt and wife, Donna; niece, Cami Chandler; niece, Julie O'Dell; niece, Jill McDonald and husband, Mike; special friends, Lynda and Bobby Pattillo and many great nieces and nephews.
