Carole Jean Sanders, age 84, passed away on November 20, 2012, after a brief illness. She was born on March 20, 1928, to Louis and Irene Corby in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She became the loving wife of Harold Sanders on August 20, 1949.

Carole loved traveling and spending many summer weeks camping with her family in the #1 campsite at Sandy Beach near Manitowish, Wisconsin. She worked at Prange’s for several years and put in many volunteer hours with the Red Cross, The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, The Veterans of Foreign Wars, The Red Cross, Santa Maria Nursing Home through the Resurrection Ladies Guild, and the YWCA. Along with her husband, Carole was a charter member of Resurrection Church. Her favorite traditions included daily tea time at 4 ‘o clock with beloved friends and the Sunday mornings after church with the breakfast bunch at the Stein.

She is survived by her husband Harry, sons Dave (Sandy) and Gary (Bev), granddaughter Sheri Sanders, sister Nancy Charneski (Larry), brothers-in-law Earl Sanders (Melba) and Lloyd Sanders, (Bonnie) and several nieces and nephews. Carole was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Corby, sister-in-law Lori Corby, and grandson Eric Sanders.

Family and friends may call at Resurrection Catholic Parish, 333 Hilltop Dr, Allouez, from 9-10:15am on Saturday, November 24th. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Saturday, with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating. Entombment in lawn crypt at Allouez Cemetery at 1pm on Monday, November 26. Cotter Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family.
