Elkader, Ia. -- Services for Oscar Shaw, 77, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Witt Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Kitterer, pastor of Peace Evangelical and Reformed Church, will officiate. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery.
Mr. Shaw was found dead Monday noon in his home in Pony Hollow. Clayton County authorities ruled death resulted from a heart attack. He was born Dec. 17, 1879, in Indiana. He came to Elkader when 15 years old and had resided in this vicinity ever since. He never married. He was a stone mason by trade.
Surviving are two brothers, Frank of Elkader and Vern of Lake Odessa, Mich., and three sisters, Mrs. Mearl (Alva) Peterman of Lansing, Mich., Mrs. Henry (Ollie) Meyer and Mrs. Pearl Stendel, both of Elkader.
